Great lunch on a Saturday! The Bison Burger from Fresh Thymes, with some local ketchup, and Jenn’s Quinoa/Tabouleh salad!
Stoppped in to Pho Saigon on my lunch break – damn good bowl of pho!
When I was a kid, I never liked Meatloaf – until my mom found this one recipe. It’s pretty simple – I’ll see if I can remember to post it later. Darn tasty!
Edit: As promised, here’s the recipe:
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
2/3 cup bread crumbs
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon poultry seasoning
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 small onion, finely chopped
1/4 cup ketchup
1 1/2 to 2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon prepared mustard
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg (or less, to taste)
Mix together the beef, bread crumbs, onion, worcestershire, eggs, pepper, salt and poultry seasoning. Put in to a loaf pan.
Combine the topping ingredients and spread on the meatloaf.
Bake in a 350F oven for about 1.25hrs
